"M.A.N.T.T." identifies an internationally
patented technological system that integrates the
telescopic coverings for exteriors. The M.A.N.T.T.
system (acronym for the Italian equivalent of
" Anti-Snow Mechanism for Telescopic Roofs") is
a mobile covering suitable for use in any
place and any weather condition. As a consequence
of all the innovations brought about in the external
coverings planning field, it has been soon adopted
by worldwide famous engineers who needed to plan
structures capable of resisting extremely
high temperatures, strong gusts of wind (insulation
up to 140 km/h), snow, rain, hurricanes and earthquakes.
Practical application
The M.A.N.T.T. system has found practical
applications in many seismic areas (California),
vulcanic regions (Naples and Sicily), areas characterised
by consistent climatic excursions and high humidity
(Hudson River banks, New York, Canada) and places
swept by strong gusts of wind (Corsica and Sardinia).
Another key aspect of this system is the protection
it offers from the acoustic pollution. The M.A.N.T.T.
system has favoured the implementation of similar
structures in noisy towns, large cities and external
spaces at ground level. The M.A.N.T.T. system
is a building solution for hotels, airports, restaurants,
stores, shopping malls, swimming pools, sports facilities
and residential buildings. Technical characteristics
The M.A.N.T.T. system coverings allow you
to open or close the sections they are made of,
according to the weather changes. For instance,
when the sun rays are not beating down and the temperature
gets pleasant, you can open parts of the covering,
thus permitting the cool air to enter. On the contrary,
when the sun is beating down you can completely
close the structure and prevent the entrance
of sunlight. In fact, it is a modular covering
whose sections can be opened or closed at will up
to two thirds of its surface. An electric motor
facilitates the closing procedure. The bearing structure
is composed of aluminum extrusions with oversized
sections, fused accessories in aluminum alloy
or stainless steel which bring solidity to the covering.
The M.A.N.T.T. telescopic covering system
integrates a snow melting device, characterised
by an accurate drainage system that conveys the
rainwater towards the interior of the extrusions
by means of gutters. The protective internal shell
of the telescopic tunnel system has a multiple
layered insulation. Externally there is an anti-fire
and water proof pvc fabric over which the rainwater
flows. This external layer is insulated.
